Lowry holds many shapes and forms as a band and originally evolved from experimental Americana music, to a certain cinematic form of rock music. The authentic journey down the lyrical pathways that the band explores is guided patiently and with utmost care by the musicians involved. At times introverted and often tense, the music is the direct result of a reflection of the band’s experience. After independently releasing both a studio, as well as a live album in 2005, the band intensively toured up and down the East Coast gathering critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. Most of 2007 was spent recording their album, Love is Dead, which was released through Engine Room Recordings in the Fall of 2008. Also in the Fall, Lowry was invited to play at the All Points West festival in New Jersey alongside names such as Radiohead, Andrew Bird, Grizzly Bear, and Kings of Leon.
