Lyn Carlberg launched his music career in Second Life, the virtual world of millions of residents worldwide. Lyn is from Wales UK, land of song and rugby, and proud of his origins. He has been tinkering with his guitar since his college days, but only for his own amusement, and never dared play in public, but a few months in Second Life changed his outlook completely. After listening to Second Life performers such as TallGuy Kidd, Capos Calderwood and a hundred others, he grasped an opportunity to pick up his guitar again and start singing to a live audience. Lyn now regularly gigs in Second Life playing a Martin electro-acoustic guitar. His covers are varied but now settling on folky styles like Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, Paul Simon, Kate Rusby and both Irish and Welsh traditional songs and extending to The Beatles, Clapton and some more modern stuff. He has his own Shoutcast based streaming music server, although most of the SL venues have their own. Lyn also loves female vocalists and his favorites are the late Eva Cassidy, Celine Dion, Enya, KT Tunstall and Kate Rusby, as well as Second Life performers Kim Seifert, Grace McDunnough, Noma Falta and Fable Sinatra.
