My first musical influence was my grandfather, who played folk guitar, sang and danced as long as I have known him. I learned music theory from nuns throughout grade school and high school. In college I immersed myself in classical music and musical theater. After college, I lived in New York City and hooked up with Jay, who taught me everything I know about rock.
