biography
Mere, a five-piece band from New York City, takes rock music back to its core elements: an explosive live show and great songs. Whether it's a rock hit like "Anything At All" or a tender ballad like "You and I," the band's unmistakeable sound is built around strong melodies, catchy hooks, and sing-along choruses smoothed over by rich sonic textures. And with their just-completed album "Switches & Dials," Mere is poised to take the national stage.

Rock reviewer Ed Fingerling writes, "A fantastic young rock band. Check them out live -- they are like the mini-Beatles: packed house, with girls going crazy .... See 'em now so you can say you saw them when."

Mere has opened for international acts like INXS, OK Go, Oasis, and The Black Crowes.

I was wondering if I could get your permission to play "Anything at All" on an upcoming THESIXTYONE.COM Fan Podcast? A listener of both of ours requested it.

Feel free to hit me up at puntspeedchunk@gmail.com with an mp3 of "Crawl" if you'd like me to play that track instead. So far it's my favorite but it's not available for download here. (Hate to sound like a cheap ass but the iTunes version has DRM on it and I can't use anything from there in conjunction with the applications I use to produce my podcast.)

Thanks for your consideration and for the great music!

I'm really liking this - I found Red In The Dark by chance when I was browsing through the site and every one I've listed to so far is great. Good work guys!

Are any of these tracks actually less than great?
Brilliant.
