Pop/rock singer/songwriter Michael Jade was born on January 10 (as Mike Eyal Aljadeff), 1988 in Haifa, Israel. Shortly after moving to Los Angeles with his family, he began playing guitar and writing songs. When Michael was about 10 years old, he and his family relocated in Chicago due to his father’s job. It was in Chicago that Michael began heavily pursuing a career in acting. Spending several years in professional theatre in Chicago, as well as being cast in several independent films, Michael was simultaneously releasing low-budget independent records that he had written, engineered and produced. This passion for music steered him away from the acting career, and ultimately led him to auditioning for the internationally acclaimed performing group “The Happiness Club”, an urban singing/dancing performance group with songs dedicated to promoting anti-drug and anti-abusive values. In addition to constantly writing songs, Michael began performing all around the Midwest with THC, and soon joined with THC’s former manager Gigi Harris to perform his original music in festivals all over Chicago including Italian Fest, the B96 Summer Bash, and Taste of Chicago. Spending more and more of his time on his solo career, Michael’s hard work and talent led him to a scholarship from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he eventually began studying music full time in 2006. Michael spent his entire college career playing his original music in festivals, clubs, and subways throughout the East Coast and Chicago. In addition, Michael was performing three to four times a week with a cover band, and wedding band throughout the East coast. Michael even went on to have a short stint with Grammy Award winning recording artist John Mayer, in which he and John collaborated on an original song called ‘Chicago’. After graduating early from Berklee, Michael returned to Chicago, and is working on his debut album. His soulful vocal style, crisp contemporary arrangements, and classic songwriting gives him excellent acclaim through his ever-growing fan base.
