biography I think Blues is more than a form. It's more than the same sequence of chords that we've all heard so many times before. Maybe it's a feeling; or a bent note that just sounds just right. As much as I love the blues players that have gone before (and playing all of the licks and styles), I don't want to just repeat what's been done. I want to sing with the guitar... For me, blues sounds best in the hands of someone who knows how to play, but doesn't try to overwhelm the basic form with too much flash (exception: Stevie Ray Vaughan). You have nice technique and tone, but you know how to hold back too. If you haven't run across Dave Green's songs on t61 yet, you might have a listen. Although he goes for a little glossier finish than you, you might appreciate what he's up to. I look forward to hearing more as you "level up."
