I've been writing lyrics longer than I can remember. In 1998 I decided to try writing a lyric every day, and kept it up for 1,001 days. I'm blogging those songs at the fairly secret song of the day blog right now.

I took a few years off, then in 2005 started the project up again, rashly deciding to write 10,000 consecutive songs on as many days - a commitment, if I persist, of over 27 years. I recently wrote the 1,000th song of the second project.
