We are Nature in the City.
Robin: "I met Andre (all the way to the left) in the Berklee dorm basement at the 98. Heard him play in the practice room next to mine. 'Man, this guy sounds good,' I always thought. His response to my music was "unique" and we started looking for a band. After long months of trying out rhythm groups the project got to a halt, because he had to leave for Brazil (his homeland). Devastated but zealous I kept going, but couldn't find a replacement. Luckily he came back and the search for more sound could continue...
2 weeks before we had our first gig our band was split up again. But luckily the front man of Tin Soldier (a great, great band that seized to be as well) Manu told me about a drummer I could check out. Andre and I went to meet Ethan (all the way to the right) and 24 hours later we had our first rehearsal. Because during that day we met a German guy (yay, cause I am from Germany too!) outside of the main Berklee building. His name is Johannes (second from the right) and he plays all kinds of basses. At night we found the groove together right away. It was a joyous occasion after such a long search.
This is when our musical adventure began. That was November 2009. Since then we had one more addition: I met Garrett (second to the left) one fine day at a friends place. He was trying out sounds for his guitar and I had an epiphany. I had been looking for another guitar player who could harmonize well with Andre and there he was. He also plays the keys. Even better.
In this formation we played the All Asia, the Church, the Red Room, a house in Allston, the Berklee Caf and Cask 'n' Flagon at Oliver's.
yours,
Robin"
