Nispy started as a high school band in the early 90s, getting progressively better at playing instruments and recording as the years went on. The band focused almost exclusively on recording, as it was much easier than trying to score a gig. 2 or more of the original members have continually written and recorded music up until 2000 or so, when the distances separating all the members got just silly. Writing continued slowly over time, however. Their well received entry in the "Snakes on a Plane" contest re-energized their efforts and the new album, tentatively titled "Spaceman Can't Masturbate" is slowly reaching completion.
