Biography

Tired of staring down at his shoes and replying "I just play under my own name," Alex Sniderman formed New York-based The Nu-Sonics with drummer Melissa Houston and bassist Scott Anthony. The band's sound evokes the ringing hooks of power pop icons Big Star and the grittiness of Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

Y'all are more than welcome for the bumps. I'm looking forward to hearing more. There seems to be a dearth of good, solid, rocking americana tunes on the sixty one, but you're certainly helping to fill the void.

Thanks to everyone who has helped push us up to Level 5. Here's another song for you! Thanks again so very much. All the tunes are available in streaming audio on nusonics.net/listen.html. Thanks again everyone!

And one last thing. I got a call from Wayne Kramer who produced my first record. He loves the Nu-Sonics stuff and told me he was proud of how much I had grown as an artist. I have to give thanks to Scott Anthony, the best production partner anyone could hope for, and Melissa Houston, a drummer and singer who brings her own particular brand of brilliance and groove to everything she plays and sings on.

Most of all, our thanks to the listeners. So thank you all for listening.
