OBCT is an electropunk band who operates a brave little studio workshop specializing in toxic electronic grooves, crushing punk/metal guitars, walls of stacked effects and a marry a wide variety of musical ideals with a dash of doom. As the oil soaked song-birds of the industrial genre 'The Obese' create contrasts, assemble melody and craft sound texture like few before them, hand measuring caustic amounts of distortion and bittersweet melody OBCT strives for balance as they pilot this rickety musical vehicle down the slopes of modern convention. Co-frontmen Geoffrey Makousky and Dan "Booty" Bateman work in vocal tandem, swirling about one another with their own distinct vocal stylings that grab their influences from a variety of sources. Drummer Michael Johnson disects and delivers on intrecate beats that join with the hammering electronic sequencing. David Erickson brings his diverse musical talent to guitars. Aeryn Emrys works his fierce, gabber style on keyboards.
