biography
Obedient Waves is a Los Angeles-based jam band, working unique harmonies and signature, dueling vocals over a bed of hard-rocking guitars & drums. They like to spread themselves around, playing with a rotating cast of musicians & they are here to show you a good time.

ROCK & ROLL 4 PRESiDENT is a weekly YouTube series by Obedient Waves, injecting a flaming hot mess of random cover rock into a steady stream of original new tunes. Launched August 2007, it will run till the good ol' U.S. of A. gets a new pressure chief. That's a lot of videos.

its the ode that turns me on, not the cheers guy norm. We used to record at chamber studios in edinburgh with the guy who recorded the vaselines back in the day. the Aberdonian would have liked it. well its a tenuous connection and our aberdeen is about 120 miles away , erm, I'll just get my coat...

Not a local of the Silverlake/Echo Park area, but I've been there a few times to check out the little shops and what not. I had lived in Westwood the last four years while attending school and mostly acquainted myself with the west side of LA. Hopefully I can make more of an effort to check out the other side since I live in Orange County and it's only an hour drive away :-)

Yeah, the Ting Tings really have some awesome tracks. They immediately caught my attention when I heard that song on KCRW. In fact, Nic Harcourt listed their album in his top 10 of 2007. They also did an in-studio performance which you can check out here. Also, this might interest you since you guys are based in the LA area (particularly in Silverlake). According to their myspace, they’re playing somewhere in Echo Park in couple days on March 11th. Here’s a link for it. :-)

Quirky as hell. Wow. Anyone know what it means?

'Katte ni' is difficult to translate, but generally means unthinkingly, willfully, or as one pleases. Usually used when talking about doing something without thinking or acting presumptuously.

'Kao Pass' is literally 'Face Pass,' i.e. being famous enough to get free admission upon being recognized.

You can probably guess at the general gist of the song.
