ODDYSSEY

London, United Kingdom

about +
The Oddsquad have been away recording their self-funded album, with the help of Dimitri Tikovoi (Placebo, Goldfrapp) and mixed by Mr Danton Supple (Coldplay). Producing a collection of songs, which are as anthemic and catchy as they are musically challenging. Described by the folks at NME Radio as “the most exciting thing we have heard so far this year”.

The London based band have been making music together for about a year and a half. And, in this time have dominated both the London club circuit and a selection of English and European festivals. One thing that is undeniable about this band’s live show is that they are not built for a small venue.
Proving this by already clocking up two sold out shows at the Roundhouse this year. Their huge album sound meaning they have had to start expanding their ‘squad’ with the help of a string section, some brass and a saxophone.

The ‘squad’ have, by their own decision, been self-managed and keep a tight grip on all creative elements of what they do...

“This is way more than a band, this is an empire”

And indeed it would be hard to miss the incredibly strong visual elements both in their live show and in the bands videos and artwork.
So, having been away making a record fit for big things, the ‘squad’ are now back, getting ready to take the music industry by storm. With an album release coming up and a record that has got music lovers ears buzzing, we are sure to see some very, very exciting, developments this year from this band of ‘kooky troubadours’. And, most certainly ‘the squad’ will go about it in the unique way that only they know how.
