New Review for Sucking Retail.

I’m not sure exactly where this band is hiding, but I find it difficult to believe that they aren’t at the top of the pop charts. Lead singer Tom McNeil sings confidently as a tenor and bass, shifting easily through swooning notes and deep resonating tones. Addressing the mundane with a flip of the hand, “Sucking Retail” begs the listener to remember themselves and ask where they went wrong. Poignant to our current economic situation and yet light and catchy, it is easy to get swept away to the shopping mall, only to realize that our folly is in tossing the plastic money on the counter. From the opening repetitive synth notes to the pulsating drum, the shopping crowd seems to suck you in while the lyrics bring you around to your senses. Intelligent, beautifully orchestrated and refreshing, “Sucking Retail” is everything the folk songs tried to say in a package that the bling hungry youth may actually understand.

Thanks to our Listeners.Today, We wanted to share on this blog some of the great feedback and comments and postings we’re getting from our listeners. This was a recent comment we received for our song Love Myself I just wanted to say how much I enjoy listening to this song.I am not a great reviewer but I can tell you that the vocals are real cool, the music catches a hold of ya and sticks in your mind. The recording quality is awesome and the final mix was right on. Everything was in the pocket, where it should be. An original sound is hard to come by but you guys found it……the song has a haunting feel to it but a drive that makes ya want to get up and dance. The chorus is solid….makes ya want to keep listening and play it over and over……keep on rockin luv Michelle

Haunting Beauty

I am struck every time I hear “What Happened to Me” by the beauty in the simple arrangement and emotional vocals. The lyrics touch on pain and longing that we all experience and wrap them around such a sweet melody – you forget how much it hurts for a bit. Once I hear this track, it haunts me through my day and makes me feel like curling up and just letting that perfect piano line carry me away. The melody rides and rises over the piano and strings with such control and power. That timpani and cymbal just before the chorus is simply a brilliant use of percussion.

I’m completely pulled into the web created by this awesome music. It is so clean and clear, it provides a perfect layer of sound behind the vocal – which is stunning. This is exactly the kind of song that pulls at my heart and soul. I feel like Parker has captured December just for me
