Phil has been involved in the many aspects of the Bay Area music scene for the last 20 years or so. Playing in bands and duos, he has played some of the best stages, including the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley and the Sweetwater in Mill Valley. He is an active member of the West Coast Songwriters Association, managed the Songwriter Showcase at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley for two years; and the CD tables at the WCS annual conference. Also, for 15 years, he has volunteered with long time Bay Area organization, Bread and Roses, hosting and playing shows in many Bay Area instititutions.

As member of the acoustic rock duo Pale Moon Sky, produced two albums of original music. One song from the CD “This Feels Like Home” was licensed to Miramax Television for a WB TV show.

Currently with the band “Country Grunge”, Phil plays electric and acoustic guitars, bouzouki, mandolin, harmonica, banjitar, and various percussion instruments.

He has finished his first solo album of urban-folk songs called "Strangely Familiar". Intelligent lyrics and interesting instrument choices are always the theme from this storyteller.
