"PLASTIC FURS in name immediately draw images of death, eroticism, beauty, sex... life and at the same time the exploitation of it. In sound they equally achieve with lucidity the same in their beautiful, at times eerie, melodies layered in lush arrangements and familiar yet innovative instrumentation.

Through reinterpretation of influences such as Slowdive, Love and Rockets and the Chameleons, they have been able to create a sound uniquely their own. The cerebral yet ethereally primitive music being created is by Stefanie Marlow, who with her enthralling style and rhythmic drum swells, sets the stage for layered soundscapes. Justin Langford, on the bass, through skillful execution provides beautifully fuzzed accompaniment; while Bryan Mink opens the songs emotionally with melody and delayed distortion. With all of these elements combined the result is darkly vibrant.

Because of their unique and ever blossoming sound they have been able to play with Autolux, Black Angels, Dead Meadow, Spindrift, Swervedriver, Black Lips, Mini Mansions, Black Hollies, LSD and the Search for God, Shaky Hands and Ben Kweller.Through this and the continually prolific nature of the band this has allowed word of their music to spread through the U.S. and Europe."
