Prashant has composed music since he was 14. A self-learned amateur musician, Prashant composes and records all his music in his bedroom studio. His primary instrument is the guitar, with interest in piano/keyboard and drums. For a few years, Prashant sequenced backing tracks for commercial MIDI houses.

In high school and afterwards, Prashant teamed up with long-time buddy Anando Mukherjee to compose Indian pop music with Hindi lyrics, recording in their home-studio over lazy weekends. On and off, the duo recorded several tracks* of varied genres and moods.

In college, Prashant plays in two bands: "Actually True", a mellow experimental pop band; and "Zerotic", an aggressive rock act, with guest performances with several other bands including Cover Charge and Frenchie & The Fries. These days, he focuses on his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, composing music as a hobby. He also DJ's at parties and for the campus radio. (-) collapse
