They say true artists draw deeply from the well of inspiration to create something entirely their own. Rani Chatoorgoon is one such artist. Reaching back to the diverse sounds that moved her along the way, Rani’s music blends shades of folk, rock, and classical East Indian elements into a distinctive sonic palette on her stirring debut album, Illusions of Loneliness.

Heavily influenced by Evanescence, Within Temptation, Sarah McLachlan and her east Indian heritage, Rani's passion for music and for life comes through in her dark lyrics and haunting melodies. Her most recent single, "Weightless Blood" featured Dutch guitar master Ruud Jolie and was a positive step in her growth as a musician, singer, song-writer and producer.
