To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

It's a long, long time preparing the composition. The story is about a recurring dream. Now finally it has been finished.

In the short break before the start of the fifth album, I made a small surprise: Alan Walker - Faded (Raven's Project cover). Vocal: Réka Juliette.
Of course, this is not a remix, but a cover, the full transcript in my own style. I will never make a remix, nor is cover making my profile, but if you liked Firebaroque album, then I hope you will like it too.
Just for fun :)

And suddenly 250 hearts for Vivaldi Part 1. If that does not make it post, I don't know what will. The power of we users in groups can be huge. Let's see what happens over the next couple days and maybe we have gotten this ball rolling.

In the future, it is a good rule of thumb not to put more than one song on the site per week. It makes the post special and something people will be willing to put more than one heart into if they like it. Good luck my dark-winged messenger.

So I can't tell you exactly when to upload your new song, but I can tell you what I think your next step is. You need to get Vivaldi's Freestyle Part 1 to hit the homepage. It is well on its way (I am guessing) but I might appeal to some of your more enthusiastic listeners to put some more listens and some more hearts into it. None of us know exactly what the algorithm is to make a song hit the homepage, but we are pretty sure all that goes into it. Go to their homepages and ask for some love.

The more rep you have with the users, the more hearts your songs will begin to accumulate and the more attention your new songs will generate. It's a cycle which, if you can get it going, will create a lot of buzz here (and hopefully elsewhere too.) Just a spot of insight you might be interested in.

Raven, as a seasoned user on this site, I'd like to offer a suggestion you, an artist whom I would love to see find more success on this site. I think you are uploading too much too quickly. Each of us (myself excluded because I am a hoarder) only get a set amount of hearts per day which we like to spread around. Too many songs too quick means no one song will get enough hearts to hit the homepage. You need to let some of your music "simmer" as it were. Let them gain some hearts and build rep.

Oh, I compose a piece of song even slowly, usually in some weeks. As I posted it in the news, I'm just finishing to upload my oldest songs to complete the 'Horizon Rising' album. As for me, the focus is on the upcoming 4th album (at present uploaded as single tracks) showing strong neo-classical characteristics.
Now I'm working hard on the newest piece which seems to be a dynamic stuff. I hope you will like it :).

Thanks a lot for all hearts, I'm glad for all feedbacks.
Best regards,
