Biography

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you like my music. I welcome your comments.

My "October Wind" CD can be purchased from CD Baby (my preference) or Amazon (their stock comes from CD Baby or is a resale, and I don't benefit from resales). It could be a lovely gift for someone special in your life!

My piano solos can be downloaded as PDF sheet music from Lulu.com.

As a composer, I work in a lot of genres including classical, choral, and music for media. Exciting things are happening!

I invite you to visit my website: www.rebeccaoswald.com.

The instrument in my picture is a Hofner Beatle bass guitar. It belonged to a friend of mine who died just after Hurricane Katrina.

Very cool to hear the inspiration behind the song. I must say, I am glad you didn't sail around the world :-p. And I also must tell you that I ordered 2 copies of your album from cdbaby today. One for me and one for my sister. I know she will love your music as much as I do.

The hardest part of reviving a song of yours was deciding which one. They are all SO good! I started listening to Perseids and absolutely could not stop listening until all songs had played. And then I had to decide. I just liked the feeling of Regatta the best at the time. I bet if I listened again today, I would pick a different song. Your music is so engaging and captivating. Thank you for producing such a wonderful, thoughtful, thought provoking and relaxing sound. You are truly blessed with a gift. We appreciate you sharing it with us.

Appreciation not necessary, you make exceptionally wonderful music and is worth bumping! Embrace has become a new favorite of mine from your pieces and I look forward to listening to more.

your sound is clean and serene.....My favorite hammock music to date. I swear I get more humming birds around when your music is playing, might be my imagination, ( i dont count them ) maybe your music slows down time so it seems like there are more hummingbirds during any given moment. i dont know, its time for, yawwwn, another nap snorrr ty

I really like your music =D Very much my style of piano solo. Thanks for sharing that with us all, and keep up the good work ;)

Also, check out my friend, http://www.thesixtyone.com/MBulteau/ , he just started here on T61 so he doesn't have many songs yet, but worth a peek ;)

I always like to support good music. I have allot of different tastes in music. For a solo I think piano is the better instrument.

Cheers!

After receiving your invite, I stopped by to listen to four of your songs that I had somehow missed. They are all now duly bumped. Thoroughly enjoy listening to all your pieces, especially when in need of calm or in a contemplative or thoughtful mood. Would be extremely interested in hearing your rendition of something along the lines of Moonlight Sonata or George Winston's December. I believe most of your music is original pieces (me thinks), but those two songs are my all time contemplation or 'zone out' piano pieces...just a thought. No insult at all to your compositions. Heck, I just figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Otherwise, waiting patiently for whatever else you have in store for us. Thanks for taking the time to stop by my page. Jerry

I am not sure what my bumps are worth, but since I don't see any value in saving points I am trying to go back and "max bump" my favorite stuff. I hope it gets you something good!

Where was the picture of you standing next to the Highway 61 sign taken? I've lived along or near US61 in three states ...

Rebecca,
if the cloudy Syracuse sky would let me, I'll look for the Perseids. Are you going to be up there, too?
