Allan Jamisen is an Arizona native also based in Copenhagen Denmark.
His musical mentors include songwriter and former session musician Gaynel Hodge, who wrote the 50’s smash hit “Earth Angel.”
Among those he has had the pleasure of working with include former Mega Records executive Claes Cornelius, who worked with international hit group Ace of Base, and currently manages Laid Back ("White Horse"). The duo wrote and produced several demos at Cornelius’ studio, and the connection led to more creative opportunities in the Danish arts community.
In 2001, Allan began working with Danish producer Andreas Mørck. Operating as ‘2am Productions,’ Andreas and Jakob Launbjerg co-wrote the winning song of the 2005 Danish Melody Grand Prix. Three of the songs Allan produced with Andreas were signed to a Los Angeles based BMI publisher, and a four song EP was released in 2003.
His most recent project, “Reply Memo,” reunited him with a high school band mate, Danny Saber, to produce two of the tracks on the CD. Saber is a renowned producer, and has worked with The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Michael Hutchence, Joe Strummer, and Shawn Ryder from The Happy Monday's. The effort with Saber led him to work with Saber’s former production partner, John X Volaitis, on most of the other tracks. Volaitis is a veteran recording engineer/producer that has worked with many top recording artists including Whitesnake, The Rolling Stones, and Tracy Chapman.
Three songs from the Reply Memo CD have been featured on the Goffus Rock Experience Radio Program on WEBR, Fairfax County, Virginia. Reply Memo has also received radio airplay by DJ William Reed in Phoenix, Arizona, and Tom Schulte, a nationwide music journalist based in Detroit, MI, has featured Reply Memo’s music on his popular Internet show, the Outsight Radio Hours.
