The San Fernando Valley does strange things, musically and otherwise, to its residents - and that is precisely where Taylor Bayouth and Marisa Raskin began their wonderfully ill-fitted fate. Bayouth, 28 and Raskin, 21 collided in early Spring of '08 surmounting a 50 mile geographical gap and seven years of life between them. Nonetheless, their intense desire to puncture the rock genre with something both classic and experimental lead to the hazed after-hour sessions that soon would become, "Niteowl".

Bayouth, a Los Angeles born rock artist was first seen boiling Valley venues over with friends and fans with his garage-born sound, "All Systems Go!". The rise and fall of ASG would ultimately be what led to Bayouth's two-year musical stint in the throngs of Seattle Washington. Over the years Bayouth has achieved Renaissance status as writer slash lyricist slash producer and hopes to awaken the public eye with sights and sounds never before seen or heard.

Raskin, a bright-eyed vocal powerhouse and Los Angeles native, is best known for her visceral stage performances which spanned from the depths of Hollywood to the far reaches of the Inland Empire. Her affinity for artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Incubus and Queen have led to an entrancing blend of hard-hitting, melodic vocals that embody the heart of classical theater rock. With Niteowl on the fringes of completeness she plans to stir up music enthusiasts far and wide with her classic approach to the indie sound.

Niteowl looks ahead with their first release, in ep form, coming Winter 2008. The duo hope to reach a swath of rock lovers with sounds, old and new, pop and indie -- Raskin and Bayouth.
