Room 7 consists of Peter Wale and Rachel Christenson. Rachel is an art model and a waitress and Peter is nobody of any consequence (to date, at least). They live together in a small house made affordable by an endless stream of short-term housemates who help to pay the rent and keep life interesting.
Peter is from Cape Town, South Africa and got to the United States by sailing across the Atlantic and traveling by land through South America - all for the chance to make music in the States. Peter writes the songs, plays piano and guitar and sings.
Rachel is from Iowa and after living in Germany, D.C., and Ashland (Oregon) moved to Seattle. In a weird twist of fate, she re-connected with Peter who had met her a year and a quarter earlier when she was working behind a coffeecounter in Ashland and he was on a cross-country odyssey looking for a soulmate in his Renault le Car. Eighteen years later, they are still inseperable companions in the grand exploration of uncovering what life has to offer. She had sung in the family band headed by her Dad - the Christenson Family Singers (http://www.mp3.com/artist/christenson-family-singers/summary/). She plays flutes, the accordion and sings, and sometimes plays the piano when Peter plays the guitar.
Right from the get-go, they discovered their voices and working styles blended almost magically. They prefer to keep arrangements simple and reproducable live in a concert setting. The longterm objective is to compile songs of originality and consequence into concept albums they hope will leave the world a better place and themselves more fulfilled for having done so. To that end, they invite any would-be patrons to write to them through this site (it's not too complicated).
