Rose Parade formed in 2009 when Ari Pournaras teamed up with Paul Mcgeechan and Edward Mackay in Ayr. They started jamming together and writing folk tunes with a punk/indie edge and feel to the sound. Rose Parade have a very distinctive sound, their melodies are fuelled with delayed guitars, drunken banjo riffs and a variety of different instruments such as glockenspiels, violins, pianos and whimsical lyrics. They have been getting a lot of airplay on different podcasts & radio stations such as Jim Gellatly best up & coming Scottish bands show on amazing radio who played their new single “Grace” for the first time world wide in August 2010.

The band are currently working on their EP which will be self released on 500 limited copies on the 17th of October! The EP will contain three songs including their single “Grace”, most of the songs were recorded and produced by Jamie Duffin and Lee Brady. Rose Parade are booked in for many gigs and events in 2010/2011 including a gig which will be hosted by Vic Galloway (BBC).
