To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

(This page was started by Vickie Williams*, with the permission of Happy Rhodes. Note that Happy herself is not on the Internet other than e-mail)

Happy Rhodes (her real name) has released 11 albums in her 25+ year career. Happy lives on a peaceful farm in upstate New York with her husband, musician Bob Muller. She has a day job building pro audio equipment for Dangerous Music, and lives her life away from the music business. She appreciates people who listen to her music, and thanks all her fans for supporting her over the years.

Happy's never made an official video for any of her songs, but there are several dozen live clips, full-length concerts, and fan videos on YouTube.

A fan site: http://happyrhodes.org

All of Happy's music (as audio only tracks) is on YouTube here:

Happy's music can also be heard via streaming audio at:

Many album songs can be downloaded here:

I had the great fortune to 'discover' The Chariot and I am so pleased. This magnificent piece has simply wrapped itself around my heart. I find myself fighting tears when I listen to it. Thank you so much for posting it here. I listen to it over and over. It's like it speaks to an ancient side of me, one beyond memory. The sound, the voices, the lyrics...it's completely compelling. Yes, magnificent.
