Ravenna is not a band you will forget. With just a quick listen, you will easily discover what happens when you have the "shaken-not-stirred" mixture of powerful lyrics and catchy dramatic music combined with the removed limitations, standards, and "templates" of todays Christian music.
From the finger-tapping drum lines to the soaring harmonies of the two female lead singers, their style is unique. It is mainly piano-driven melodic rock and has been likened to such musical acts such as Eisley, Emery, The Hush Sound, Lydia, and VersaEmerge.
Since their formation not long ago, Ravenna has played Christian music festivals such as Ichthus Music Festival and Pneumafest as well as secular venues such as the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum's Witches Ball and has shared stages with acts such as Our Hearts Hero, White Collar Sideshow, Rush of Fools, Sidewalk Prophets, The Wrecking, eleventyseven, Day of Fire, The Savvy, and The Jason Lovins Band. They have just released their first EP, Debrief, beautifully produced and mastered by Nick Joyce (Our Hearts Hero). It is out now on physical release, iTunes, Amazon, and a cornucopia of digital distributors.
