To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Matheatre was founded in 2006 when Marc teamed up with comedian and musician Sadie Bowman in an attempt to quit their jobs by writing a hit musical show that they could go on tour with. The show was, "Calculus: The Musical!"

After touring the show for 2 years, Matheatre turned the production over to KNOW Theatre of Cincinnati, who continues to bring Calculus! to schools across the country.

Back in Minneapolis, Marc continues to write and record new songs with help from the talented Rose Norris, Joe McMorrow, Josh Henrich and many others.

chiefhigh: I talked to a Physicist friend of mine, the short version of what he said is that to make noise you have to make a pressure wave in the air. Air molecules interact with the electron's electric field, and if you have ionized air molecules the interaction becomes stronger. This interaction can be heard when you hear static electricity, or thunder. So maybe some sort of musical Jacob's Ladder?

LMMS, I am not yet ready to put the Calculus stuff up on the sixty one just yet. However, all of the songs from "Calculus: The Musical!" are up on our website,
which are freely downloadable as well. So until we get it up here, I will just have to leave you messages telling you to study Physics.

Hi - quick favor to ask of you now that you got me through precal II... I have to return to 'retake' physics (professional schools can be oh so brutal to the non-trad) this spring. Would you be so kind as to post your 'Physics Extavaganza' from 'Calculus: The Musical!' ? I need something to post to my wall to remind me to quit procrastinating and study. Thanks so much!!
