To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

We now have another bassist Dave Beale. We also have a new lead singer Becky Perkins (SunnyP). Probably a new band name to come. We will be playing lots of new material and some old Caned Unable gems.

We have had a practice last night after 5 years away. We are now a three piece with me(Aaron) on bass Johan on lead guitar and Kyle still on drums. The practice was great and we're hoping to gig in 2009.

Now this is what I'm talking about! I ask cr for some song recommendations (kind of running on empty of late) and he tells me to check you guys out. So glad he did. Love the voice, love it all.

Funny how this place works...I visit marcog, see cr's link to this page and here I am. So agree with marcog's remarks. Voice and guitar in Shout are so good, have a definite impact. And ditto with Eggshells. Good lyrics.

Shout at me and Eggshells are full of personality and "drama" (taday my english is poor). Btw I haven't finished listening.
Congrats :)

Hi and welcome to the 61! Enjoying your first uploads, thanks for sharing your tunes.

These are some regularly heard tips for the top:
Let the initial three tracks find listeners, fans and bumps before uploading more, otherwise they will start to compete with each other for bumps.
Don't be tempted to add more tracks right away when you reach the next level. Don't be tempted to delete any either!
Once one or two have reached the homepage and have given your music that extra exposure, gradually add one at a time. Nopte... this may take a while, because there's a lot new music being added, so people will have to find you first.
Also, you could consider opening a listener account to figure out how the site works from the other side so to speak.
Enjoy and good luck!
