7 years touring, 400 concerts, 11 countries and millions of downloads. Few people are left in Catalonia who don't know who they are. Even in galicia, Basque Country and Madrid, La Pegatina are filling the concert halls. It's one of the most dynamic live concerts, a non stop fiesta of songs and melodies.
Their journey began in 2003 under a different name, Pegatina Sound System, with Ovidi, Adria and Ruben. They rehearsed on the train tracks and played on the night buses. Little by little, they started performing live and making a name for themselves.
With their first album, Al Carrer, the group now known as La Pegatina, became even better known. Many friends collaborated on that album such as Manu chao, Che Sudaka, Gambeat, Txarangö.
During the band's first 3 years, many bassist came and went but no one stayed. This is how Gambeat (Radio Bemba bassist) got involved with the group. He recorded the bass in all the songs of Al Carrer and became the live producer and the mentor of La Pegatina. He taught them values sush as honesty, hard work and dedication and also control of their energy.
