biography
Sometimes I am so bored by people's long biographies that I cannot write my own. I am a singer songwriter living in Cincinnati. I am also an artist ( BFA University Of Michigan school of art 1983.) I have written most of these songs in the last year or so. I am slow to record and garage band doesn't always sound that good. I played out in the 80's and am kind of coming back around- this time more comfortable in my skin.

Hi Ellie - Love the new song! Yes, therapy is going OK, thanks. Maybe in a few weeks I'll be ready to get out and catch some live music again. Bummer about the Sidewinder dropping their music schedule, but I guess they were too small.
Take care!

So now I'm really confused- because I was going to post a thank you to people who commented, but it smacked my hand saying that I only had two warnings left for "no mass postings..." Is this not a social site of sorts and how is that you are not allowed to communicate in this manner? O.k. now I won't remember to check in for a while and then I'll catch it for something else...

Hei Ellie, I really like your voice and your music - and I'm just as confused with this sixtyone thing as you seem to be. Apparently I just discovered you -- seems a bit absurd since you've been making music for ages..! But anyway - I'm definitely going to listen to you a lot from now on.

Hi, Ellie - thanks for the heads-up. You have an absolute genius for scheduling shows the same nights as Joe's, but still hoping to capture you on video for YouTube sometime soon.

Hi Ellie - I think Dec. 5 could work. Who's taking your place at Sidewinder on 11/21?

The idea is that you are using the Tbox to send someone a song that you think they might like. However, even if you just want to tell them where to meet you for dinner, you still have to include a song, or it won't let you send it. You initiate these by clicking on the "Share" icon on your "music" page, up in the right-hand corner. Your music page should also contain a list of songs down the middle, so you can just click on one of them and drag it over to one of the 3 slots that open up in the Tbox after you click "Share". I'll send you one in a minute.

Well, there are 3 types of messages on this site:
1. Posting on someone's wall, which you obviously know how to do (although there are people who keep their walls closed - probably out of ignorance of how to open them).
2. Commenting on songs - not difficult
3. Tunebox messages, which are private (only the recipient ever sees them, unlike the first 2 methods). Tboxes must include at least 1 song, which you just click and drag over into the message. The address can be an e-mail address, but more usually it is the person's T61 name (ThomasAD3, in my case). The nice thing about Tboxes is that it has a memory for all the addresses you have used in the past, and the text of the messages themselves, which makes it easier to to "mass mailings", sort of.
I'm planning to be at the Sidewinder on 11/21 (is that date right? - LOL) to shoot video of your gig for YouTube.

There's nothing like sending out an e-mail to a zillion people with the wrong date for a gig... but it can be done.

So is the etiquette that you are meant to thank people for their bump? I see that other people have done this... It seems a little like asking someone if you look o.k. and when they say "yeah," saying "thank you..." as if it were a compliment which is not exactly right. (Pragmatically challenged actually.) I'm not really certain of the 61 culture, but do appreciate the listening.
