Rapper Tony Jacobs was born on April 27, 1989 in the St. Petersburg district, Russia. Tony is yet more proof of the unique gifted talent currently emerging from this infamous Russian suburb.
At the age of 7, Tony and his mother emigrated to Limassol, Cyprus for health reasons. This move was the inspiration for the title of Tony’s debut release, “North Ethnik”. In Cyprus Tony was raised by his mother. The family lived in a permanent state of instability; saddled with the financial difficulties that always come when you’re trying to adapt to a strange new country.
And so Tony started working at the age of 12, but was tempted into the Limassol underworld where he tried to find his way. Being forced onto the streets because of endless family rows at home, Tony rapidly began to mine the raw nuggets of street culture and mint them into the solid gold coinage of rap. That’s how his ambition for a career in rap started to take shape.
