To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Many thanks for the heads up about the free download of the self-titled instrumental track. I downloaded the high-quality version from your MySpace :-)

Hey Mate. Head bobbing. Very ethereal. Reminds me a little of the odd but good orbital track. Very tidy. Light, heavenly, and introspective. As you can see i took your advise from a couple of months back. Cheers for that Stuart - I did mean to mention that in my last email. Cracking Stuart!

I absolutely love your new s/t track and am well chuffed that I got to first bump it! The way the music is structured & evolves reminds me of The Orb, one of my all-time faves. I really hope you post more long, winding instrumental tracks like this. And even better, put them up for download so folk can buy them! :)

it'd be cool to make an entire beat out of a metronome

get samples of common metronomes, for instance, from garage band, ableton live, reason, protools, etc, and then samples of real metronomes?

if you don't do it i might

I think it's really good stuff. there is too much electronic music that is unstructured and chaotic to the point it is just not listenable. anybody thinks they can dj without any regard for traditional music theory or composition. This achieves a nice balance between respecting the old and pushing the new.

I do like this. For various reasons. I get something different each time I've listened to it. Would like to know more about your music and collaborative work...also where to find it. Do you intend to post a few more on T61? I do hope so. "Red Sky Lullaby" is going to be a song I listen to many more times before I can fully appreciate it. But at least I do know I like something when I hear it. Thank you for posting.
