biography
THE IDYLLISTS are a group of musicians from Los Angeles, CA. The Idyllists put a modern twist on 60s Britpop and mix it with traditional American pop sensibilities, ultimately creating timeless rock & roll -- California style.


While the majority of working class citizens spent their late hours crafting dreams, like any other night shifter, THE IDYLLISTS were busy plucking away at theirs. The four young, tightly-knit Los Angeleno musicians used the iconic, fast-paced Sunset Boulevard and many long, late nights as the motivation and inspiration for THE LONG HOURS BETWEEN SUNSET & MORNING. The same concrete that Charles Bukowski, Jim Morrison, Elvis and millions of other dreamers and believers once strolled through provided the influential backdrop for British frontman Ian Webber, guitarist Matthew Barge, bassist George Mohler, and drummer Sam Gallagher. The famous 22-mile boulevard bends through an eclectic mix of lifestyles, cultures, and social statuses that pass through the gates of Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel-Air, and Beverly Hills to the back alleys of Los Feliz, Silver Lake, and Echo Park.
