To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

As long or short it may seem, it's nine months since my last post, and I'm truly sorry for this. Things will start to change in the months to come, and I've completed the first of three albums, which is a coop. It will be uploaded soon under another name, since it's not a Miu solo-album, more to come.
And! I've of course conceded and joined the contagious Twitter.

So followers of fresh Miu-news, embrace MiuGlitch @ Twitter :)

Although things may seem partly inactive these days, things are happening behind the curtains.

Three albums are in the working, as well as a website loaded with music, tutorials and miscellaneous media. Postproducing for television eats a lot of time, but updates and previews will come.

All of your comments and support are deeply appreciated, and does not go unnoticed :)

Miu is the momentum currently endeavoring to cross borders through blending genres, technology, soundscapes and musicality.

This bright and industrious producer/composer/DJ is pushing the forefront of music and sound production to reassemble all aspects of electroacoustic music, rooting in strong melodies, captivating, syncopated polyrhythms and emotional, harmonious power.

With a sonic arsenal covering the musical spectrum from transcendent soundscapes, deep ambient dub and orchestral fidelity to bass-heavy electrohouse, melodic powertrance, heavy progressive drumbeats and speedy psytrance, Miu can please any crowd.

Rapturously excited by the very nature around us, be it the propagations of soundwaves through air or the digital sampling of those at the junction where mathematics converge with our organic world, these are the elements that produce the audiovisual experience that is Miu.

Ha! And just listened to Liquid X, its intense and insane! Another example of a different genre influence - hardtrance/hardstyle. Love that track! Absolutely wikid! PS: sorry about the multitude of comments I'm leaving, just very excited about your music! Hehe! Keep it up!

Also: love your musical variety and how you have created stuff that is influenced by so many different genres - eg. commando -> drum n bass/jungle, pulse -> trance/techtrance, and alot of your other songs (eg. part II - take a deep breath, sandy deity, and especially part III - all we'll ever be) remind me of one of my favourite artists, shpongle, that ambient psychadelic sound. I Love it!
