To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Mike Chapman (Vocals/Songwriter/lead guitar), John Hayden (Bass/Vocals),
Adam Wolin (Drummer)
Michael Levin (cello/keyboards):

Mike Chapman and John Hayden remember listening to The Beatles at a young age and being inspired to make their own music. With Mike on rhythm guitar and John on bass, they soon realized how well their styles complement one another. After joining their high school choir, Mike and John began incorporating intricate melody lines and harmony in their music. After graduating high school and playing in a number of bands, Mike and John developed Dirty Lingo and teamed with drummer Adam Wolin.
Adam Wolin came from an extensive drumming background- growing up surrounded by music, playing since the age of 5, and received formal training from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, all of which led to his diverse technical abilities and great contribution to Dirty Lingo. Adam joined Mike and John in writing and performing, and were together discovered by local indie label, “Sedona Records”. Following the recording of their first album “Pleasant By Being Rude” the band continued touring throughout the Southwest and developed a great fan base.

Zero has a corruption in it at around the 2:38 mark that can be fixed via the edit function. Check your copy first...I'd guess it may be the snappy servers we are now on. You want to use the edit function so those having hearted the song, don't lose them. Could ya let me know when ya fix it? Thanks

Great songs guys! Your songs are most than welcome here on T61! However there are some guidelines you should keep on your mind if you want to make your song reach the homepage and attract even more listeners. The links I've sent you previously may give you an idea of how this site works and I suggest you create a listener account to you understand it even better. There's thesixtyone explained which is good (check video). :)

DZ is telling you to delete the song I just hearted...blinks! You do have some great tunes posted here and honestly, they are all fighting for the limited hearts we get a day. But I would simply stop at this point. I know it's hard...sighs. I love your music and am going to feature Blue Cheese :-) Great Song!!

Like your songs guys!

It's however best to slow down, and even retract Blue Cheese. everyone is without hearts now and your songs are now seriously competing each other.
Best way to go is to upload 1 song a week from now on.

For now, a great hint is to keep these two songs receive the love of the listeners and do not upload anything else for a week, at least. And you could also write something about you on your biography, people would love to know more about you. Oh, did I mention the picture? Picking a catchy picture to your profile is also a great move because it will attract more listeners. I suggest you upload only one picture to all your songs, so your listeners will memorize it and it would be your mark. :)

Check these tips and hints: what artists should know about thesixtyone. There's also thesixtyone guide. Hope they may be useful! First hint, be patient. Do not upload too fast your songs and not many at the same time. Second, never delete a song. Third, enjoy your time here!
