Samba Laranja is the Syracuse University Brazilian Ensemble and is led by Dr. Elisa Macedo Dekaney and Joshua Dekaney. The group has been going strong since 2001 and started with 5 members. The group is made up of undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of areas of study at Syracuse University. Samba Laranja has performed for over 7,000 central New York public school students and plays throughout the Syracuse area.
