To our faithful listeners,

We've decided to formally shutdown thesixtyone.com -- our servers will go offline at midnight, May 1st 2017.

Artist tipping and music purchases will be functional until then, so please spend any remaining credits by month's end.
A final payment will be made to artists following the shutdown.

thesixtyone was our baby for most of our twenties. We're incredibly sorry we weren't able to keep things going in the
right direction.

Thank you for being a part of it.

welcome guys !!!!! Out of hearts for the day, but will be back with more!
That brings me to some advice about this place:
we can only heart a limited number of tracks each day, so don't upload any more tracks for a week or so,or they will compete with each other!!
Also please don't delete tracks once discovered, because it makes people unhappy.
Thanks for the music and have fun!
IF you have questions, just click on our names to get to our pages by the way.

The more time you spend between uploads the better, but you don't have to take forever to upload your music. I would wait until the three songs reach the homepage or at least two of them before uploading another one. So it means you should wait at least two weeks, but, again, it's up to you. You will notice soon that this is a very unique music website, and you can learn much more about it if you join this place as a listener, so you can see by our perspective.

You're welcome! I'm glad you're sharing your music here, so I can listen it. Thanks! I recommend you to let these three songs get some love and wait at least one week before uploading more, and make sure you'll upload slowly: one music per week seens to be cool here, but it's totally up to you. It takes one week to a new song be able to reach the popular homepage I told you about, but not every song get love enough to reach there, so you might be patient.

Enjoy the music adventure!

Oh and I want you to know that uploading too many songs at once is not a good idea. It has to do with the very limited amount of hearts that we - listeners - can give to songs we like. The most loved songs will reach the popular homepage of this site and you can expect many more listeners coming from there.

Do not delete any track that has been already hearted by anyone. That means they'll lose the hearts they once gave to you, and some people get really upset.

I'm enjoying my listen! :D
