Ann Arbor, MI

about +
Scott Goodhart was born in Oak Park, IL, and spent his childhood in Downers Grove, IL (made famous from the song "Downers Grove" by Andy Junk.) He attended school at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City where he studied musical theater. After growing tired of the crowds, he moved to Eugene, OR and took a bicycling trip across the U.S.A.

Now Scott lays at home drawing, writing music, and trying to make something of himself. Where is home? The little town of Saline, MI. It's home to movies in the park and The Saline Celtic Festival.

For the time being he plays the occasional open mic night around Ann Arbor, MI, but would like to graduate to playing payed gigs someday. In 2009 Scott was cut from the first round of American Idol Auditions in Denver. Help him stick it to Simon Cowell and he will be forever grateful.

Influences include: Jason Mraz, The Winston Jazz Routine, Kurt Elling, Jack Johnson, fun., Damien Rice, Glen Hansard, Iron and Wine, and Ingrid Michaelson.

Instruments in succession of ability from best to worst: Vocals, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Percussion, Mandolin, Harmonicas, Cello (coming soon), Mouth wash.
