Originally from San Francisco, Tad currently resides in Tennessee. Early influences included progressive rock bands like Rush, Yes and Pink Floyd plus electronic artists Like Jean Michele Jarre and Tangerine Dream. Later influences have included Future Sound of London, Bluetech, Phutureprimitive, Boards of Canada, Patrick O’Hearn and even Radiohead.

During the 80's and 90's Tad played keyboards with several good rock bands but eventually lost interest in live performance and started dabbling with ways to compose using computers. His first solo projects were produced using “tracker” software, specifically Impulse Tracker used by many scene and demo artists. He became well known in the demo scene community as "solo" and was a founding member of the group Hellven with several other well known scene artists. In 2009 he completed construction of his home studio and began production using professional tools and equipment after a hiatus of 7 years.
