I would hope in the 7 months since your comment you've introduced yourself to the awesomeness that is Iron Maiden :D Fear of the Dark was probably their last decent album imho everything prior to that album was hugely rocktastic most of their releases after Fear were a bit drab really. Somewhere Back in time was such an amazing Tour, a chance to hear all their best works live once more.
The X Factor is excellent, even without Bruce's voice and charisma. It explores "big" questions, dark themes: war, depression, life purpose, ..., sound is huge. Also, A Matter Of Life And Death is decent.
i know i shouldn't comment since the genre isn't typically my cup of tea, but i love the maiden version and have to say: while i appreciate it being different from the original, this is super cheesy.
