I hadn't thought there'd be another version of this song, other than Tori Amos' version, that I'd like. This works for me, though, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to hear it.
Polyphonic Spree's version is magnificent.. they employ an army onstage, thanks for telling me about it! I was just looking for ways to play Nirvana songs on acoustic guitar.. http://www.thesixtyone.com/s/HbxzzINkB46/
Thanks Eldra Check out the "Nirvana Country" covers as well.. and like my page if you're on fb, thanks! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ken-Gordon/45845757489
thanks, it surprised me too Hockeyfan, that it worked at all.. I've taken a stab at reworking other Nirvana songs too, with some turning out better than others.
Tori Amos' cover is a classic, people were really shocked when she did that because it is SO different, she turned the song on its head. I wish anything I do could be half as well-known as that Tori Amos cover..
Ken gives Painting Taster treatment to other Nirvana songs as well. Check out "Stay Away" on this site and google Ken Gordon - Reading Street Faire for a version of "Lounge Act"
Love this cover. I miss Curt and now I miss theoldsixtyone as well. Put in a revive bid for SLTS for whatever that is worth. See you put up a live versions of Corporations. Awesome, but without the oldsixtyone how would anyone find this music????
