I think the way Kanye sang (sang?) the song was... too generic. I mean, it was similar to some of the other songs he's done and I dare say we might've had enough of the guy being played on the radio. It made it sound less meaningful and more angry and "f*** that b****" than anything which contrasts with the lyrics. This version, on the other hand... I think it goes without saying. This guy owns the song more than Kanye does.

i never liked the original song but hearing the lyrics tells me how powerful the song it is and all it took was a slower tempo and an acoustic guitar.

What a fantastic cover. I'm not much one for covers, but this one is exceptionally played. His voice is very soothing and it still maintains a great feel about it. I'd say a definite upgrade form the original.
