I’m up before the sun can’t seem to sleep well
Guess I’ll have an early morning jog
Guess I’ll have some breakfast
Guess I’ll go to school and study Tegmark’s Quantum Physics
I’m leaving building C and noticing all of the people walking
When suddenly they’re in slow motion
And subtly they seem to say

Open up your eyes to see that life is something beautiful
And happiness depends on just how well you see it

A leaf is falling in slow motion and suddenly it hits me that all
Falling leaves bring light to places that were once in shadow
How good it is to live when leaves are falling all around you
How good it is to die and shed some light on those who love you
So maybe when they’re walking through a schoolyard
They can hear you say

Open up your eyes to see that life is something beautiful
And happiness depends on just how well you see it
Open up your ears and listen
Until the silence sings aloud and then you’ll realize
Life is what you want to make it
Open up your mind to see that life is something beautiful

We all believe in something
But surely you’d conceive of something better if you’d

Maybe it’s me but I can’t seem to see any difference
Between what you see and the way that you come to believe
