This is such an amazing song and I'm really surprised that it's never been on the homepage before! I read an article on how mainstream pop producers will heavily borrow from indie music. An example would be the uncanny similarity between Nick Zinner's guitar solo in Maps, compared to the solo in Kelly Clarkson's Since You Been Gone.

i know i'm going to sound like a bit of a douche, but please don't take this the wrong way. it really sucks to hear someone say they we're introduced to this song through rock band. it just ... sort of hurts to know this song never got the amount of attention it should have when it first came out. but hey, it's got it now. :)

I don't think that videogames like rockband are a bad way to get to know new music, they are just different and new. If we look back a few years, almost nobody heard music through the internet. That said, I already knew this music from a while back and i loved to be surprised by it here on thesixtyone!

true. i can't even count the amount of music i've been introduced to through tv shows, movies, videogames, and commercials. and videogame commercials! it doesn't suck that a song this awesome was featured on rockband, but rather that it didn't get the attention it deserved until years after its release.
