I admit I felt uncomfortable about uploading a cover on here, and I can appreciate how geeder feels. It's the first time I've uploaded any music to a public site, and I certainly don't wish to profit from it. I love that song so much, and I hope Mr Dylan wouldn't object to me recording my version. Probably be tough to get hold of him to ask. I've since uploaded here a tune of my own even if the lyrics are borrowed. Personally I'd be thrilled if someone else covered one of mine.
I'm certain that most covers are uploaded without permission from the songwriter(s)and, being a songwriter myself, I will only support those who's art is their own. That's just me.
I do not agree with your policy, geeder, although I can see the reasoning behind it. My policy is that I refuse to bump a mediocre or bad cover, no matter how much I love the original, but if the cover has artistic merit on its own--as this one does--then I have no qualms about bumping it.
