starchild: The sixty-one MEGA Upload Party Wake for Michael Paul Miller is set to go off from 7 to 8 pm Pacific Time on Thursday, May the 8th. With 61+ artists slated, it should average about one new tune per minute, and there will be additional uploads hours later due to late uploads. Check KosmikRay 's Wallzine listing of the 61 official artists for your favorite bands, and let your favs know they are welcome to "crash" it and upload then if they didn't get the word in time. Also, feel free to let anyone you tunebox with in on it, as it is open to ALL artists and ALL listeners.
Enjoy the music, as we celebrate for Mike...

***please post a copy of this notice on friends or subscribers walls...we need to get the word out.

So...here's a bit of forewarning, you mad bumper you. We'll be uploading a new tune, "Big Black Car," to T61 sometime around 12:06pm (CDT) today. It's a happy-go-lucky murder song with a fun beat. It's also a track from our latest CD, The Center of the Universe, which is currently being featured as a "recommended CD" in the April issue of Paste Magazine...which makes us very happy.

You can, in fact, listen to our music at a Paste listening station in your local indie music shop. While doing so, feel free to exclaim loudly, jump up and down and make generally orgasmic faces. This will make the store manager very happy. (Us too.)

"Enough with the shameless self promotion already," you're probably muttering to yourself between whispered curses. "Get your poncy verbiage off my comment wall, you twittering hack."

All right already. Just throw a few bumps our way if ya like what ya hear...OK?

CloverRex recently revived our song "Good as Gold." It's one of the very first songs we posted here on T61 a while back...I'm glad to see it's getting another shot at "the big time." If you get a chance, check it out.

Oh, by the way, don't be alarmed by the numerous backwards messages buried deep within the mix of the song. We're just subliminally encouraging you to get plenty of fiber in your diet. And check the air pressure in your tires regularly. And floss. No big deal, seriously.

Just flow with it.

Hey there,

You bumped "Let's Stay Together" 4 times, "Wedding Song" 3 times and "Who Knows What's Next" 2 times. I appreciate that. Thank you.

I won't be putting any new songs on here for a long time. I'm BEYOND maxed out with 21 songs. I will have to reach level 20 to put up anything new, and the highest rated artist is at level 17 right now. It's safe to say it's going to be a while.

Then again, 21 songs is a probably a lot to absorb. Should you choose to hear more, you can!

Thanks again for your support.

BOZO DRIVE
I don't think there are enough people who are willing to pay to get me to put up a Bozo photo instead of my blue snow for the rest of winter. Here's the bet: Pledge $1,000 in total donations to Sam and James and I'll kick in $100 and change my pic for three months. Post on my wall your pledge marked BOZO DRIVE and I'll keep a tally in my Wallzine.

Yay! Thank you for bumping "Who Knows What's Next"! Here's a brief history of the song.

"Who Knows What's Next" was written and recorded along with six other songs as part of an "Album-a-Day". The idea is to write and record a minimum of 20 minutes worth of music within a 24 hour time period. 17 hours into the project I decided to call it good, and the resulting 'album' is called "Just So You Know".

Thing is, I hated how the vocals sounded, so I re-recorded them very early this morning. I actually redid the vocals for "I Fell Flat" and edited that mp3 as well.

So, there you go! Thanks again for bumping it!

ROCK!

The first 61.com fan podcast is finally up and the grand finale of show #1 is an interview with Hidari! I won't be spamming you with this anymore. I just noticed you liked their stuff.

In iTunes (or whatever aggregator you use to grab podcasts) click Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast > then copy and paste this http://feeds.feedburner.com/libsyn/aSnO
in the box that pops up.

Hit me up if you want to be part of the show. Major props to everyone that contributed.

and, thanks for giving 2 bumps to that unrehearsed new live tune i put up. it's a really low fidelity recording from a fan's video camera when we were on tour... i put it up to experiment and see what kind of reaction something like that would get on here. thanks for the love! check out the rest of the released record, too, if you want. most of it is up on the sixty one now. much love from austin, texas!
