Tara Craig burst onto the Austin music scene in 2007, captivating audiences with a voice that is equal parts soulful and vulnerable, and lyrics that come straight from the gut. From empowering spirituals to quiet love songs, there's an intimate, timeless quality to Tara's sound. There's tremendous variety in Tara's songs, but they're each tied together by a kind of longing— a longing for family, freedom, God, and unrequited love.
Tara is backed by drummer Marco Arroyo and bassist Wayne Decker. Marco, a Texas native, comes to Tara from the Austin-based Goodbye Beautiful and Wayne has been active in Austin studios and on its stages since the early '90s. Tara's debut album, As the Leaves Were Changing, was released on August 20, 2010
