Philippe Rose and Ric Levy have been lucky enough to learn from some of the greatest musicians of our time. When their friends were out getting respectable jobs, they were making tea and carrying equipment in some of the world’s most prestigious recording studios, desperate to watch their idols at work and understand what makes their music so special. As the duo gained experience, they each worked their way up to record for the likes of Korn, Eric Clapton and Dave Matthews Band.
But they’ve never lost the original passion for writing and performing their own songs and now, after eight years of recording other people, they’ve got things of their own they want to say.
2008 saw Temple Scene’s first ever releases, in a year of musical discovery for the duo. Each new song was a waypoint on their journey as they developed their musical personality, from the irresistible pop of their first E.P., Another Town, to the dark, magnetic electronica that dominates Sektor.
In July 2009 they release their first full-length album, ‘A Good Day To Disappear’, a confident statement of their musical identity across 11 compelling new songs.
