Experienced in drumline, jazz drumming, and all sorts of musical instruments, TextureHEad_ looks to bring a fresh perspective and widely various approach to the craft of Electronic music production -- TextureHead_ also actively works with Audiphobia and nuvoid. Formerly known as Intelligent Design from the West Palm Beach area, TextureHead_ is Steve Daniels: singer, songwriter, musician who studied and graduated from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL.

TextureHead_ paints a sense of purpose in the audience's desire for emotional-audible stimulation and attempts to open up the soul. It's time Electronic music got a fresh perspective.
Described by some as Nu Pink Floyd, this psychedellic artist loves to change it up.... Before his fifth birthday TextureHead_ was diagnosed with Chalestatoma, a rare disease of unnecessary tissue growth that ate away some of his middle/inner ear. The first surgery was for completely different investigative intentions, only to find that some of Steven Michael's ear bones had already been destroyed in the left side of his head. The parents of TextureHEad_ eventually found the Silverstein Institute where Steven's hearing would one day be repaired, and his disease removed from his skull. It has taken a total of five surgeries to fix the unfortunate circumstances that followed the young man, but thanks to the help of Dr. Seth Rosenberg and his colleagues at the Silverstein Institute, TextureHEad_ continues to actively persevere in his music production with fully functional hearing. Throughout the length of shy life, he grew up in a home surrounded by music -- something which never ceases to spark his curiosity for life. Years of intensive instrumental focus has led him into other realms of: self, thought, and song.
TextureHead_ designs about 90% of the sounds used to produced his music. His fascination for self-sufficiency leads him to be much more flexible when working with multiple creative minds. Having performed in drum corps and various drumlines, a great respect is ministered for the obvious hours (of sweat and tears) that shine through in live music. A percussionist at heart, Steve spent much of his time and thought on exercising various aspects of rhythm. The emotion that is captured through tonality and the specific pitch-change-increments can be very apparent even to the uneducated ear. That is why rhythm fascinated TextureHead_ so much... to be able to create the same power of music, simply by changing the amount of time that passes in between the occurance of two or more sound sources?!?!?.........flippin' Brilliant.
