The Compromise consists of four extraordinary talents; Brandon Bell's vocals are made distinct by his ability to emphasize emotional depth, which today's music lacks. J.D. Short, lead guitarist, began writing original music and performing on stage within his first year of playing guitar. Their bassist, Adam Inman lays the foundation of the music with his tight low frequencies while also bringing great chemistry to the group. Rounding out the four is the drummer, Matthew Stark--full of life and character, he has been compared to the likes of Travis Barker and Stuart Copeland.

The release of their new EP, Between Love & Hate, marks the second album in their growing discography. Beginning with "Have Mercy", the EP embodies what The Compromise is all about--no matter how anyone may feel at any time, just popping in one of their records can bring a smile to one's face. The next track, titled "Thou Shalt Not Worship False Billy Idols", is a synth-laced dance rock anthem comparable to The Killers and Anberlin, the lyrics of which tell stories of betrayal, lust, and redemption. "Just Don't Take This Too Seriously", a track originally from their first full-length album Teen Movie Soundtrack, has a chorus that could easily be one of the catchiest ways to describe government distraction ever written. "Girl On The Moon", possibly the EP's magnum opus, calls up memories of Journey, Phil Collins, and Peter Gabriel while still maintaining a contemporary feel. Emotional lyrics, beautiful piano melodies, and soaring vocal lines round out its waltz. The record is completed by two tracks, "Heels Over Head", a sizzling tale of all-consuming love, and "('Til Then...) Patience", a song about the most grating of virtues.

The Compromise is not your ordinary 'out of the garage' band. They have played with numerous chart-topping artists and groups, at numerous venues and festivals in numerous cities, of their own DIY accord and with no support from record labels or booking agencies. They have just released a music video for their first album's lead single, "Teen Movie Moment". They are also currently working on their third record, a full length album that will include fan favorites like "Like The Stars" and "You're Beautiful; I'm Hammered" as well as brand new tunes like "When Duty Calls" and "First Second Great Romance".
